The bengals are one win away from the Super Bowl, and that means Cincinnati cornerback Eli Apple is a win away from another Super Bowl media cycle. What if the Bengals can beat the Chiefs Sunday to move forward, Apple will be well prepared.
The ever-talkative veteran made waves on Monday night by publicly mocking the Invoices after Cincinnati’s 27-10 AFC Divisional Round victory at Buffalo last Sunday.
It all started when Buffalo wide receiver Stefan Diggs tweeted his frustrations with his team’s abrupt exit, writing: “It’s easy to criticize my reaction more than the result.”
Apple happily tweeted Diggs with “Cancun the 3rd,” implying the Bills would now be embarking on an off-season vacation.
With her initial tweet racking up over 20,000 likes within two hours of posting, Apple didn’t stop. He retweeted a same of former President Donald Trump shouting that the lights at a rally stage were too bright alongside the caption ‘Diggs in the playoffs’.
Next, quote tweet a video of Diggs arguing with the quarterback Josh AllenApple wrote, “Somebody bring them to couples therapy…I’ll pay on God.”
Apple engaged in similar conversations in the run-up to Super Bowl LVI last year, but ended up keeping Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp as he scored the touchdown of the game.
