The Colts are moving into a second round of head coaching interviews and interim head coach Jeff Saturday is reportedly still in the mix.

Saturday went 1-7 after taking over the team following Frank Reich’s dismissal, but neither that record nor his lack of coaching experience seem to be working against him at this stage. The Associated Press’ Rob Maaddi reports that the Colts schedule an interview Saturday again.

Broncos defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero is also defined for a second interview and, according to the report, a total of seven or eight candidates are expected for another meeting.

As the team moves into second interviews, Maaddi also signals that they would like to interview 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans for the first time. However, Ryans won’t be able to talk to the team until the 49ers’ season is over, and a win on Sunday would mean the Colts would have to put the rest of the process on hold until mid-February for that to happen.
